Mixology and Wine 101, 201

Program:

1. Liquor, wine and beer classification, places of origin and production methods.

2. Basic bar set-up, tools, glasses and workplace sanitation.

3. Cocktails skills: build, stir, shake, layer and flame.

4. Tasting of red and white wines of the world.

5. Bar cost control and Ontario liquor laws.

Fees: $200 (including materials) Group rate available for 5 or more.

Date and time:

Monday, February 22 – March 22, 2010, 3:30 to 5:30 pm. or 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Thursday, February 25 – March 25, 2010, 3:30 to 5:30 pm or 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Total 5 weeks, 10 hours

Instructor: Professor Chef Leo Chan from George Brown College and Humber College, Founder of the Cambridge Food and Wine Society.

1.酒的種類、產地及製造方法。

2.酒吧基本擺設,器材、酒杯及個人衛生常識。

3.雞尾酒調配:注酒、調酒、搖酒、分層及燃酒等技巧及正確姿勢。

4.品嚐馳名紅白葡萄酒。

5.酒水成本計算及安省酒水法律。

費用:

每位學員200元(包括材料費)集體5人以上報名,可享受團體優惠。

★2月22日-3月22日(共五周)週一 3:30-5:30p.m.或7:00-9:00p.m.

2009 Cambridge Lifetime Achievement Award

The Honourable Mr. Justice Frank Iacobucci will receive the Cambridge Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contribution to multiculturalism in Canada on Wednesday, November 4th.

Mr. Donald Ziraldo is the Honorary Event Chair and the award presentation will be held at the Columbus Centre, 901 Lawrence Avenue West at 5 p.m.  Immediately following the ceremony the Cambridge Food and Wine Society will present “A Taste of the World” Reception.”
